Measurement Guides

All our Chaskit®, Sierra HorseWear® and Sierra DogWear® products are made-to-order. It is very important that you measure your horse or dog carefully and correctly. The garment’s fit depends on the accuracy of the measurements. All measurements are in INCHES. Round up to the nearest inch and enter these measurements on the order form. HOW TO MEASURE YOUR HORSE

BLANKETS, SHELLS, SHEETS, LINERS:

Three measurements are required for all blankets, shells, sheets and liners. These are shown on the diagram below.

A – B : From the middle of the chest to the side of the tail

A – C : From the middle of the chest at the base of the neck to the highest point on the withers

C – D : From the highest point on the withers to the level of the mid-forearm

NECK COVERS:

Three measurements are required for neck covers. These are shown on the diagram below.the diagram below.

E – F : From the poll to the back of the withers

E – G : From the poll to the middle of the throat

A – C : From the middle of the chest at the base of the neck to the highest point on the withers (same as for blankets)

HOW TO MEASURE YOUR DOG

Four measurements are required for all dog coats and vests. These are shown in the diagram below.

A – B : Topline: the length of the spine from just behind the collar to the top of the tail set

A – C : From the spine just below the collar to the middle of the chest at the base of the neck

C – D : From the middle of the chest at the base of the neck to the side of the tail (or curve of hind-quarter if tail is docked)

A – E : From spine just behind the collar to the top of the forearm
